Damon Bailey is a 2009 Metro Atlanta Corps Member from Blythewood, South Carolina. Damon is a proud alum of Hampton University where he received his B.S. Biology. Damon was a middle school science teacher at Bunche Middle School where he taught 6th, 7th, and 8th grade Science from 2009-2012. Damon first joined staff in 2012 as a Manager, Teacher Leadership Development and is now in his first year of being the Managing Director, Teacher Leadership Development managing both the Humanities and STEM team. This year, he will be working closely with your M,TLDs and with each one of you to ensure that our students are getting the best opportunities they possibly can in the world of science and mathematics.

Kaleah French

Kaleah French is in her second year as the Director of Teaching and Learning with the Metro Atlanta STEM team. Prior to working on staff, Kaleah taught HS Math at Westlake High School in Fulton County Public Schools. She is excited about partnering with our teachers this year to ensure that our summative assessment strategy is seamless and that we are truly measuring our student achievement against tools that represent the bar of excellence.

Lindsay Chatel

Lindsay Chatel is a needle artist, adventurer, and amateur conspiracy enthusiast. Lindsay is currently in her second year serving as Manager, Teacher Leadership Development. In this role she coaches Metro Atlanta Secondary Math and Science teachers. Lindsay also currently serves as a Math Design Fellow on the Teach For America National Design Team. Before joining staff, she taught 8th and 9th Grade Math as a 2010 Teach For America Corps Member in Greater New Orleans and Metro Atlanta. In her work, Lindsay is driven to ensure that teaching and learning math and science are liberating acts.

Hello everyone! My name is Amanda. For three years, Amanda taught science and social studies at North Clayton Middle School, her placement school in Clayton County. Prior to that, she taught and studied in Uganda, China, Uruguay, and the UK. She is a Florida State and University of Oxford alum, who loves to run, play soccer, travel, eat, and be with friends and family (and her orange cats Thomas and Whiskey!). It is with complete joy and honor that she supports secondary STEM and Humanities teachers!

Lakesha Goff

Lakesha Goff is a native Georgian with over a decade of experience in the field of education. After earning a B.S. in Mathematics from Howard University and an M.S. Ed. in Secondary Education from the University of Pennsylvania, Lakesha began her teaching career as a middle school mathematics teacher in West Philadelphia. Over the next eight years, her journey gave her the opportunity to teach and learn in some of the world’s most unique and innovative schools, such as The SEED Public Charter School in Washington, DC, the Ron Clark Academy in Atlanta, GA, and the Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy for Girls in South Africa. She spent the past two years as the Assistant Principal at Ivy Preparatory Young Men’s Leadership Academy in Atlanta.
When she is not at work, you can find Lakesha at home in Gwinnett County spending time with her wonderful husband. She can also be found exercising (especially hot yoga), enjoying live music, or spending time with family and friends over good food or even better…coffee.

Nautrie Jones

Nautrie is in her 2nd year on staff with the Metro Atlanta Team. She will be serving this year in a hybrid role where she will spend half of her time and capacity as a STEM/HUM M,TLD and the other half of her time being our region's Real-Time Coach. Nautrie is incredibly excited about working our STEM team this year to ensure that not only are her corps members and their students building the academic traits necessary to be competitive with their high-income peers, but that we are also examining the type of culture that must exist and how to build that culture in truly high performing inquiry-based classrooms.
